Description
A VORTAB meter-run pipe section that reduces profile irregularities from upstream elbows, valves, blowers, and compressors with low pressure loss.
Sizing and installation
- Standard sizes 2–12 inches with other sizes available.
- Length: eight pipe diameters for 2-inch pipe; seven diameters for 3-inch and larger pipe.
- Shorter VSR configurations are available.
- Schedule 40/80, weld ends, flanges to 600 lb rating, and male NPT through 4 inches.
Materials and meter connections
- 316L stainless steel, carbon steel, Hastelloy C, and other materials for compatible gases, liquids, and slurries.
- Meter connections include ¾-, 1-, and 1¼-inch female NPT, 1¼-inch male NPT, and ANSI 150/300/600 raised-face flanges.
Applications
- Restricted straight runs, calibration benches, stratified streams, and process equipment needing stable flow profiles.
