Thermal dispersion meters measure gas mass flow, total flow, and temperature using Adaptive Sensing Technology. Application-matched sensors include compressed-air and wet-gas options.
Styles and sensing
- ST80 is a single-point insertion meter for pipes over 2 inches; ST80L is inline for 1–2-inch lines.
- Insertion range: 0.25–1,000 sfps; inline range: 0.0062–838 scfm under specified air conditions.
- Flow accuracy: ±1% reading plus ±0.5% full scale; repeatability: ±0.5% reading.
Transmitter and service
- Graphical LCD displays values, totalization, temperature, alarms, and diagnostics.
- 4–20 mA and digital options include HART, Foundation Fieldbus, PROFIBUS, and Modbus.
- Integral or remote mounting and aluminum or stainless-steel enclosures.
- Selected sensors support process temperatures to 850°F; three-point calibration drift checking is available.
- No moving parts; approved hazardous-area configurations and SIL 1 compliance.
